Who We Are
Seed India helps impoverished families living in slum communities transform into healthy, strong people who make a difference in the world. Through wellness education, small business training and spiritual guidance, we’re helping more people move from poverty to opportunity, and we’d love for you to help us.
What We Do
For impoverished families living in slum communities, even meeting their most basic physical needs makes a tangible difference in their quality of life. At SEED, we provide for the physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of the most vulnerable communities and give them a way to a life of opportunity. Through our holistic approach to community development, we empower these families to break the cycle of poverty and abuse, and create a life of choice and harmony for themselves and their families.
We’re looking toward a bright future with big goals in mind while celebrating all we’ve already accomplished.
In the Khalpar Slum, where there was a 0% literacy rate, 70% of the children are now going to school and 30% of the women in the community are literate today.
Two girls from the village graduated high school and went on to train as nurses, forever changing their family’s trajectory for generations to come.
The Dream Home for Boys opened in 2018, providing a nearly-unprecedented nurturing space for young men who would normally be left to fend for themselves.
